Food Pantry: Going Beyond the Basket

Who We Are: To proclaim the love of Jesus to our community, and the hope that the Holy Spirit gives.  It is our goal to preserve people’s dignity without judgment, while introducing God’s grace and encouraging spiritual growth.

. . . that no one should go hungry

James 2.15: Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.  16: If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?  17: In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. (New Living Translation)

What We Do: Our food panty exists to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of others.  Everyone is welcome and no one is turned away . . . no one!

Who We Serve: While our food pantry primarily serves residents of the west side of Traverse City, we will never turn away anyone who comes to us in need.

When We’re Open: Our pantry is currently open the second Saturday of each month.  We would love to have you join us at 11 am for a time of fellowship and worship.  We seek to feed much more than just the body, we seek to feed the soul.

Looking To Our Future: Self-sufficiency is where we believe God is leading us.  We want to be there when anyone is in need.  Together with our partners we can see this happening.  We’re open once a month now, but with your help and support we can meet our goal to be open twice a month very soon!  We can get there . . . with your help!

. . . with actions and in truth (1 John 3.18, NLT)
