Who are we?
Mt. Zion FWC
MT. ZION Family Worship Center is a congregation that has been serving the Grand Traverse Bay Area since our doors were first opened in 1979. We are independent, yet in a cooperative fellowship with the Pentecostal Church of God.
Worship Service: Sundays at 10:30 am
Midweek Gathering: Wednesdays at 7 pm
Mission and Distinctives.
We have established a house of worship of our Heavenly Father, to offer fellowship for those with a Christian faith. We want the Holy Spirit to be honored by our testimony as we take up the call to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ by all available means, at home and in foreign lands.
We are a community of faith engaged with and led by the Holy Spirit, seeking His direction in all we do. For example our worship, sermons, and teachings are vibrant and energized as we seek to experience the presence of the Spirit in our services
We strive to connect every generation to Christ, primarily by exalting the Lord, edifying the Church, and evangelizing the world. This multi-generational approach to evangelism has led to our distinctly family-oriented, friendly atmosphere where many lifelong relationships have been forged.
“It is Beautiful to express God’s love, and even more beautiful to feel it. That is how this church makes me feel.”Larry - Elder
“Mt. Zion FWC – Spirit lead worship, excellent teaching, loving, family-oriented, Word of God church. I’ve been attending since 1980 and don’t want to miss a Sunday!! Wish I could be there more often.”Karen - Member
“This church has a heart for people. Every time my family visits we are overwhelmed with their love and servant heart! It’s rare to find a church that works together like they do. If you have a family and are looking, you will love the Pastor, his family and this beautiful church!”Mark - Visiting Minister

We recently committed three weeks to prayer. Every day of the calendar was covered as our people began to pray. At a Midweek Gathering during that time, we cried out together in specific ways. First, we focused on two Big Picture ideas, areas of vision where we are being challenged. Secondly, we focused on one…
“Oh, unbelieving generation . . . BRING HIM TO ME!” (Mark 9.19) Jesus already knows about the unbelief. The disciples are unable to cast a demon out of a child and it plants a seed of doubt in the father’s mind. The disciples doubt their abilities in Jesus’ name. The scribes doubt and question. Because…
Recently we took a good look at ourselves, those who help us work the fields in the Grand Traverse Bay Area. We began by asking focused questions about our talents, gifting, and strengths. How are we doing as a leadership core and what are we doing well? Gallup finds that, “An overarching emphasis on strengths allows…
Ruth Buell is an Elder, our Bookkeeper, and the Director of S.I.S.T.E.R.S. She is an avid student of the Word and ministers a couple times per month to our women. Ruth preached for us recently during a Midweek Gathering (01.25.17). God gave her an encouraging Word for our congregation. Here are some excerpts from that…
